Overview
The bike was purchased by Sabre from Aprilia in 2005 and is the only RSW sold to a British team and probably the only one in the country. It was purchased to enable Sabre to progress the career of Luke Mossey, during 2005/6/7 he rode the Sabre 2005 Aprilia 125 RSW (purchased new from Aprilia now unfortunately sold) winning in Spain and at BSB.
During 2008 Luke had a year of racing but carried out numerous test/practice days on the 250 with the view of entering the 205GP in 2009. He posted fantastic times in Bruno and Velencia ,unfortunately the 250 dream was not to be. The last time the bike was used was at the 2009 MotoGP at Donnington park ridden by Luke he was the only British rider to qualify for the 250 race and finished a credible 16 having been as high as 11 until a near high side slowed him down. The bike is now part of Sabre's history.
